It's Teacher Appreciation Week!

โ€‹

โ€‹

Boy am I guilty of never knowing when there's a special day, week or holiday going on...

Consider this your PSA if you didn't know already, that Teacher Appreciation Week is this week from Monday, May 5 through to Friday, May 9.

Sure I love my Little One, but boy do I appreciate the teachers at our daycare who can handle my Little One and many others all at once, for hours on end during the day. I couldn't do what they do!

Need inspiration with how to treat the teachers this week? We are organizing simple daily surprises and gifts, for our teachers every morning. We've done a quick collection of funds and have a parent designated every day to bring something in:

  • Monday: Coffee and donuts
  • Tuesday: Cinnamon rolls and sweets
  • Wednesday: Flowers
  • Thursday: Coffee and bagels
  • Friday: Local cakes and sweet treats

We're also using GroupTogether to coordinate signing a card for the teachers!

Thank goodness for the Moms that come before us to teach us their ways - I can't take credit for this idea - shoutout to local Mom Sarah, who took the reigns last year, giving us the tradition to continue this year.

Separately.... my Little One insisted that she wanted bake the teachers cakes as a treat... hence the pictured box of funfetti cupcakes that she picked out. You will also notice that funfetti cupcakes aren't listed in the daily schedule above... a little someone has mysteriously already baked and eaten them...

What we are doing this week...

What saved my sanity this week...

โ€‹Silicone bath scrubberโ€‹

It's an odd recommendation, I know. But my Little One hate loofahs, not to mention I get a little worried that those things are bacteria breeding grounds. I discovered this recently and it's a hit in our household!

What we are Reading this week...

โ€‹"The day the crayons quit" by Drew Daywit

Yes, I am guilty of buying this book because of the title and how relatable this is specifically to me and my day job! I guess lessons aren't just for the Little Ones...

What I am listening to this week...

โ€‹The Bravo Docketโ€‹

Yes, I love Bravo. But I love the outside drama even more and this podcast is hosted by two lawyers (and Bravo fans!) who go into the legal matters happening with Bravo-lebrities. There's no way I could have been a lawyer, but I love learning all the legal implications related to people I watch on TV.

Definitely recommend the Dorit and PK episodes... oh and the Erica Girardi ones too!
