Easter is my Superbowl!

... and let's just say I'm still in recovery mode, so this week's newsletter is fashionably late!
My Third Annual Seaport Easter Egg Hunt was this past Sunday and it couldn't have gone better.
- Around 50 Little Ones and their parents joined us this year!
- 72 freshly baked cinnamon rolls and coffee scrolls
- 60 vanilla cake bunnies
- 24 hot cross buns
- Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting
- Chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache
- Honeycomb, meringues, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies
- 65 PYO 'bunny truck' cookie sets
- Over 200 easter eggs found by the Little Ones
There's still time to host your own Easter Egg Hunt this weekend with friends and family. Here are my tips and tricks for hosting your own Easter Egg Hunt:
- β2.3 inch size Easter Eggs are the best - smaller ones are easier to fill!
- Fill them with stickers, temporary tattoos etc. These squishy things and these bouncy balls were a hit
- Only hide a quarter of the eggs at the start. Divide the rest into three bags
- As the Little Ones search for eggs, have adult helpers 'hide' more eggs as they run around. It helps make sure everyone gets their fair share!
- If there is a superstar egg searcher, encourage them to help you hide a couple of their eggs for others to find
Don't feel like organizing your own event? No worries, I found a few Easter related events happening this weekend:
I'm sure there are plenty Easter events happening around town!
A HUGE thank you to everyone that joined us on Sunday and made it the absolute best Easter Egg hunt we've had to date!
